Job Purpose:The accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks and financial activities within the organization under the supervision of the Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role demands a proactive approach to managing financial tasks with the ability to prioritize effectively, optimize financial performance, and drive efficiencies, thereby contributing to the overall success of the business.
Job Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Accounting:- Prepare accurate and timely (month-end, quarterly, yearly) financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles (IFRS) in financial reporting.
- Maintain and update accounting records, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash reports, and directors' expense summaries.
- Maintain records and documentation in designated file storage systems.
- Analyse financial data and assist in budget preparation.
Audit and Compliance:- Prepare VAT returns.
- Prepare corporate tax returns.
- Assist in external and internal audits.
- Prepare schedules and documents required for external audits.
- Economic Substance Reporting Compliance.
- Ensure compliance with annual license renewals and filing requirements for group entities.
Property Management Accounting:- Monitor and record rental income from the real estate portfolio.
- Ensure timely payment of all utility bills, service charges, etc.
- Maintain the register of real estate assets.
- Ensure timely receipt of remittances and promptly report discrepancies.
- Prepare profit and loss statements for each property.
- Monitor and prepare installment payments for property purchases.
Cash Management and Treasury:- Handle payment of utility bills, service charges, and other expenses.
- Ensure timely payments of due to/due from related parties.
- Monitor and summarize bank statements.
- Petty Cash statement preparation and monthly reporting.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts.
General Administration:- Manage payroll processing and perform administrative tasks as required.
- Prepare monthly employee mobile phone statements for any adjustments.
- Monitor and handle corporate emails.
- Update and maintain records in designated shared drives.
- Handle correspondence with third parties.
Technical Competencies:- Excellent understanding of IFRS.
- Experience in financial software applications i.e. QuickBooks, Odoo.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial audits would be an advantage.
- Bank Reconciliations.

Job Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in accounting.
- Audit and/or Big 4 experience would be a plus.
- Understand IFRS Standards.
- Excellent communication in English.
- Ability to draft reports and present the same to the higher management.
- Real estate experience would be a plus.
- Experience in monthly financial reporting.
- Experience in communicating with multiple stakeholders.
- Attributes: Diligent, Integrity, Ethical.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional Accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant -MIA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or similar.
