Job Brief:
A leading group of companies is seeking a highly skilled Discipline Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership and oversight within a specialized engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in executing major oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving engineering excellence.

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Design Review
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership within the assigned engineering discipline.
  • Review and assess engineering deliverables from consultants to ensure alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Optimize engineering designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and project objectives.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities in collaboration with consultants.
Project Scope & Multidisciplinary Coordination
  • Assist in defining the scope of work during the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase.
  • Participate in scope definition workshops to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Address interdisciplinary challenges and promote effective communication between teams.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Implement and enforce quality standards for engineering deliverables.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks within the assigned discipline, implementing mitigation strategies and updating the risk register accordingly.
Regulatory Compliance & Approvals
  • Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Work with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for engineering deliverables.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and address discipline-specific concerns.
  • Present engineering solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into design modifications.
Project Scheduling & Execution
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules related to the assigned discipline.
  • Monitor progress against discipline-specific milestones and coordinate with the Project Manager for schedule optimization.
Team Development & Process Improvement
  • Mentor junior engineers and facilitate training sessions to enhance technical expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Health, Safety, & Environmental Compliance
  • Prioritize health, safety, and environmental standards within the discipline.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to address any safety or environmental concerns related to discipline-specific activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (relevant to the discipline).
  • Experience: Minimum 20+ years in executing major oil and gas projects.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Certifications: PMP certification (preferred).
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English.
