Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant for their operations in the chemical trading industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), import and export banking procedures, financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, VAT, and Corporate Tax compliance.

Experience in the trading or manufacturing industry is required, while exposure to the chemical industry and proficiency in Odoo accounting software will be advantageous.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and process Letters of Credit (LC), including documentation, coordination with banks, and related financial transactions.
Handle banking procedures associated with import and export operations.
Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment tracking, and collections.
Oversee accounts payable, including supplier invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations.
Handle UAE VAT accounting, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations, reporting, and compliance.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, customers, and banks on accounting and financial matters.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with Letters of Credit (LC) is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of banking procedures related to import and export transactions is required.
Experience in financial reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
Previous accounting experience within the trading or manufacturing industry is required.
Experience in the chemical trading or manufacturing industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Odoo accounting software is preferred.
Strong analytical, organisational, and financial reporting skills.
Ability to manage accounting operations accurately and meet deadlines.
