Our client is seeking a proactive, results-oriented, and highly organized Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day operational activities. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in manpower planning, workforce allocation, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Support shift scheduling, workforce deployment, and attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing requirements based on operational demands.
  • Assist in overtime planning and productivity analysis.
  • Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, and workforce deployment records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports.
  • Support the development and implementation of operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI reports for management review.
  • Coordinate activities between warehouse, production, logistics, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Monitor progress against production, inventory, and dispatch plans.
  • Follow up on operational issues and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Track and report the status of action items arising from operational meetings.
  • Ensure smooth communication between all operational stakeholders.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and productivity metrics.
  • Analyze performance trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the implementation of Lean, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Participate in productivity enhancement and cost optimization projects.
  • Assist in identifying and eliminating operational bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality Management initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in operational reporting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Support automation, digitalization, and ERP-related projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to process standardization and best practice implementation.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Production Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in operations, warehouse management, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain functions.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, steel, metals, building materials, or distribution businesses is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting operational leadership teams will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Resource Planning & Capacity Management.
  • Experience in Workforce Management.
  • Strong Operational Reporting & Dashboard Preparation skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel & Data Analysis skills.
  • Experience in KPI Monitoring & Performance Tracking.
  • Knowledge of Process Improvement Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP or Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Good understanding of Inventory & Warehouse Operations.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
