Job Brief:The
Assistant Procurement Manager will support and execute end-to-end procurement activities while ensuring alignment with company policies, cost objectives, and supply chain efficiency. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of quality goods and services. The position requires strong experience in SAP-based procurement, data reporting, automation initiatives, and sourcing raw materials within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Coordinate and execute procurement activities in line with company policies and objectives.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of quality goods and services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs.
- Prepare comprehensive MIS reports and dashboards for procurement, including Power BI, procurement automation insights, cost-saving analysis, and outsourcing strategies.
- Track and report CAPEX and project statuses, conduct monthly training sessions, and participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of procurement plans and sourcing strategies.
- Conduct detailed market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure optimal commercial agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, transactions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide operational support.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, automation, and process improvements within procurement operations.
- Support overall team performance by covering additional responsibilities during peak workloads or team member absences.
- Monitor end-to-end procurement activities for assigned suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Provide data-driven analysis and recommendations where procurement targets or KPIs have not been met.
