Job Purpose:
To ensure a culture of safe working environment for a cement factory during the construction, commissioning, and operation phase.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work processes to identify hazards and risks.
  • Issuance of Safety permits for all kinds of maintenance activities.
  • Create a culture of safety and awareness amongst all employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics.
  • Be Aware of the latest updates in the Environment, Health, and Safety regulations of the UAE.
  • Have robust emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to improve preparedness for potential emergencies.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have 5-10 years of experience in the cement industry; 4-6 years of UAE experience is preferred.
  • Basic Computer knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
  • Safety and occupation health competency.
  • Conversant with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time management skills.
