Job Brief:The Business Development Head will be responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building long-term partnerships across the construction, infrastructure, and steel sectors. This role requires deep knowledge of the construction industry—locally and globally—including how projects are specified, awarded, and executed. The position involves leading the business development team, managing high-level client relationships, exploring new markets, and contributing to the company’s ‘Net Zero’ steel initiatives. Duties will span across the company and all subsidiaries, associated, and connected entities.
Job Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:- Develop and implement the company’s business development strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new markets, customers, and opportunities across the UAE, regionally, and internationally.
- Drive initiatives to enhance market position, brand recognition, and overall visibility—especially for the company’s ‘Net Zero’ steel offerings.
Market and Business Development:- Lead efforts in generating new contracts, tenders, and projects across the steel and allied industries.
- Monitor industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop long-term partnerships with government agencies, EPC contractors, construction companies, and industrial clients.
- Explore potential in value-added products, downstream industries, and diversification verticals.
Client and Relationship Management:- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through consistent engagement and proactive support.
- Negotiate and finalize high-value contracts and agreements to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Create awareness among developers and contractors regarding ‘Net Zero’ steel and sustainability initiatives.
- Stay updated on construction techniques, market regulations, and legal requirements.
- Educate clients on how the use of ‘Net Zero’ steel aligns with ESG requirements and long-term sustainability goals.
Revenue and Financial Performance:- Achieve revenue growth, annual sales targets, and profitability goals.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, sales plans, and market performance reports.
- Identify cost-effective methods to increase market penetration and financial returns.
Leadership & Team Development:- Lead, mentor, and motivate the business development and sales teams to meet organizational goals.
- Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with production, supply chain, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of client commitments.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:- Strong network within construction developers, contractors, oil & gas, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
- Experience in international trade, government relations, and export markets (preferable).
- Proven success in leading large-scale business development initiatives and securing major contracts.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil works, construction materials, and infrastructure projects.
- Ability to create and deliver impactful client presentations, proposals, and white papers.
