Job Brief:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemist to join a leading cement manufacturing company in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves conducting chemical analysis of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products, maintaining accurate quality records, and supporting quality control activities to ensure consistent product quality and plant performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cement plant laboratory operations, quality control processes, chemical testing, and laboratory equipment maintenance. This Chemist Job in Ras Al Khaimah is well-suited for candidates with strong analytical skills and a commitment to quality, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical analysis of various products on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the highest level of accuracy in testing and correlate analytical results with plant performance.
  • Maintain records of analysis and support the Quality Control Engineer in day-to-day activities.
  • Coordinate with Shift Chemists and perform shift chemist duties as and when required.
  • Introduce and implement cost-saving methods and evaluate alternative raw material options.
  • Maintain records of chemicals and monitor consumption patterns.
  • Raise timely chemical requirements to the Quality Control Engineer.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, including furnaces, heaters, Blaine apparatus, and other testing equipment.
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained at the highest standards within the laboratory.
  • Train personnel through knowledge-sharing initiatives and training programs.
  • Identify potential areas for optimization of quality modulus parameters.
  • Monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) within the section.
  • Carry out various assignments as directed by the Quality Control Engineer or Quality Control Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a cement manufacturing plant.
  • Previous experience in white cement manufacturing will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes related to cement manufacturing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with production, mechanical, and quality teams.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
