Job Brief:

Our client is hiring for a Civil Draftsman job in Dubai to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering and construction projects, including roads, buildings, drainage systems, and other infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software, along with a solid understanding of civil engineering standards, technical drawings, and drafting practices.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
Develop site layouts, grading plans, road profiles, utility layouts, and structural details.
Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and other team members to collect design specifications and resolve design issues.
Revise drawings based on feedback and mark-ups from engineers and project managers.
Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, codes, and standards.
Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents in accordance with company standards.
Conduct site visits when necessary to gather data or verify measurements.
Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and Bills of Materials.
Keep up to date with advancements in design software and industry standards.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or certification in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Civil Draftsman or in a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant drafting/design software.
Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and construction processes.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
Familiarity with GIS software.
Exposure to structural and architectural drafting is an advantage.
