Job Brief:

Our client is hiring for a Civil Estimator job in Dubai to join their construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including infrastructure, site development, earthworks, roads, and utilities. The role involves analysing project plans, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates, quantity take-offs, tenders, budgets, and bids for construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and constraints.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents in accordance with company standards.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documents, and project proposals.
Monitor cost trends and provide feedback on project budgeting and forecasting.
Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and codes.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or similar.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with public and private sector projects.
Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes.
Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
