Job Brief:Our client, a prestigious university in Ras Al Khaimah, is seeking an Assistant Manager – Corporate Relations & Placements to lead strategic employer engagement, career development initiatives, and academic-industry collaboration for its tech division (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence). This role focuses on driving student employability through internships, placements, and curriculum-aligned industry partnerships, while ensuring compliance with the UAE’s university accreditation standards.
Job Responsibilities:Industry Relations & Placement Development- Build and maintain strong relationships with companies in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, software engineering, and related fields.
- Develop job and internship pipelines tailored to tech students.
- Manage and supervise on-campus recruitment drives and placement tracking systems.
Career Events & Employability Programs- Plan and execute major career development events such as:
- Career fairs, industry connect events, and alumni panels.
- Skills development workshops (e.g., CV building, mock interviews).
- Tech forums, corporate roundtables, and networking sessions.
- Engage alumni and HR professionals as guest speakers or panelists.
- Monitor and report KPIs to align with MOE and CAA employability benchmarks.
Internship Coordination & Industrial Training- Source relevant internship opportunities and ensure alignment with academic requirements.
- Oversee internship quality, mentor allocation, and student feedback.
- Liaise with faculty for outcome-based evaluations and accreditation documentation.
Curriculum & Industry Alignment- Facilitate regular feedback loops between industry and academic leadership to enhance curriculum relevance.
- Coordinate the inclusion of certifications, real-world projects, and industry workshops into academic programming.
Alumni & External Stakeholder Engagement- Maintain and activate a database of alumni working in the tech industry.
- Collaborate with the alumni office for joint events and mentorship programs.
Reporting, Compliance & Accreditation- Track graduate employment outcomes and maintain documentation to support program reviews and Self-Study Reports (SSR).
- Ensure placement and engagement data complies with accreditation and internal audit standards.
