Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage electrical works across various construction projects in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the UAE, particularly in petrol station projects, and a solid understanding of local authority regulations. This role involves project planning, site supervision, technical support, quality control, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute electrical works by interpreting drawings, reviewing project requirements, and coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, and other technical teams.
  • Supervise electrical technicians and site teams, ensuring quality workmanship for lighting, power, fire alarm, emergency lighting, structured cabling, and related electrical systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, SEWA, EWE, Civil Defense, etc.) and enforce all safety standards on-site.
  • Conduct inspections of materials and completed work; review technical submittals and perform quality checks to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide technical support, identify and resolve electrical issues, and support system testing and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and maintain detailed records for materials, inspections, and testing.
  • Assist with cost estimation, supplier quote reviews, and managing budgets related to electrical works.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of UAE experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry; experience in petrol station projects is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, DEWA / SEWA / EWE / Civil Defense regulations, and relevant local standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and strong technical evaluation skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • UAE driving licence with own car is preferred.
