Job Brief:We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Site Engineer to support the execution of electrical works for
water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on site experience on
industrial or infrastructure construction projects, with exposure to the
complete electrical scope rather than a single discipline. This role requires strong coordination skills, site execution expertise, and the ability to work on
new/greenfield project sites from installation through commissioning.
Job Responsibilities:- Execute and supervise electrical works on water and wastewater treatment project sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Prepare and review Electrical Technical Submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, and Lighting & Power Plans, in coordination with design and other engineering disciplines.
- Support the preparation of the electrical section of Operation & Maintenance Manuals (OMM) and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
- Conduct and witness electrical testing activities, including FAT, SAT, Megger (Insulation Resistance) Tests, Continuity Tests, Loop Tests, and Functional Tests.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, including RFQ support, technical clarifications, material approvals, and site deliveries.
- Oversee installation, glanding, termination, routing, and testing of electrical systems such as panels, cable management systems, lighting, earthing & lightning protection, UPS, and instrumentation.
- Assist in micro relay programming (e.g., LOGO, Zelio) and support PLC/HMI/SCADA commissioning activities where applicable.
- Troubleshoot site issues and ensure smooth coordination with project managers, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure electrical works comply with local authority regulations, project specifications, and industry best practices.
- Execute electrical works for new/greenfield water treatment sites, including setting up electrical systems and networks from scratch, from initial installation through testing and commissioning.
