Job Brief:The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical systems and equipment used in paper manufacturing production lines. The role involves troubleshooting electrical faults, maintaining industrial automation systems, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery with minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electrical systems in a paper manufacturing environment, including motors, drives, PLC-based systems, and control panels. The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, the ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics, and close coordination with production and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operations.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment used in paper manufacturing production lines to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in machines such as paper machines, winders, rewinders, and other related production systems.
- Maintain and service electrical components, including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, and PLC-based systems.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of production equipment while minimizing downtime and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery, electrical systems, and production line upgrades.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with production teams and mechanical maintenance teams to ensure efficient plant operations and timely resolution of electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, breakdowns, and repair reports.
