Job Brief:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the company’s finance and accounting operations in Dubai. This is an independent role with no direct team support, requiring a hands-on and self-driven professional who can oversee the end-to-end financial function. The ideal candidate will possess strong decision-making skills, expertise in financial controls, tax, VAT compliance, and audit management, along with a solid background in ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI. Previous experience in the manufacturing, production, or construction industries is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control the entire finance and accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Oversee annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax returns, and other statutory requirements, including timely filings and submissions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate statutory audits and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide management with actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and provide recommendations based on financial viability and ROI analysis.
  • Work closely with operational teams to monitor cost structures, improve efficiency, and ensure accurate product costing where applicable.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced reporting tools (including Power BI) to generate dashboards, analyze performance trends, and support data-driven management decisions.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory updates, accounting standards, and industry practices to ensure compliance and best-in-class financial management.
  • Prepare and submit periodic management reports, including variance analysis, profitability tracking, and business performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters, ensuring management is well-informed on the company’s financial health.
  • Perform any additional finance-related responsibilities assigned by senior management.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or independent capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage finance operations independently without direct team support.
  • Solid experience in VAT, tax returns, audit preparation, and compliance in the UAE.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial reporting tools; hands-on experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong financial planning, analysis, and budgeting skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with management and external stakeholders.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, production, or construction is preferred.
