Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis within a dynamic organization operating in the construction and electromechanical sector. The role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing insights that assist management in making informed strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling. The position requires the ability to work closely with different departments, interpret financial data accurately, and present meaningful insights to support business growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and balance sheet summaries to support management decision-making.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering financial data, preparing projections, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Perform variance analysis by comparing actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers behind variances.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, project profitability, and support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for senior management review.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities for cost optimization, and areas for improving financial performance.
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including scenario analysis, forecasting models, and business performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather relevant financial data and ensure accurate reporting across business units and projects.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and financial reporting tools where required.
  • Assist in monitoring project costs and financial performance within construction and electromechanical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations, including IFRS and relevant UAE regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required financial documentation and reports.
  • Monitor financial KPIs and assist in preparing presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within financial reporting, budgeting processes, and financial systems.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or management reporting.
  • Experience working within construction, engineering, or project-based industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, financial modelling, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAGE, or similar financial systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large financial datasets accurately.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or progress toward such qualifications will be considered an advantage.
