Job Brief:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer to implement, maintain, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental procedures across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international standards while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the workplace.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on HSE experience within a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment and possess strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular workplace risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed root cause analysis reports.
  • Conduct safety inductions and regular toolbox talks and training sessions for employees.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire-fighting systems.
  • Maintain accurate safety logs, records, reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with company HSE policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage safe work practices across all departments.
  • Support emergency response activities and ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external authorities on health and safety matters as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as an HSE Officer, preferably within the manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and authority requirements, including Civil Defence and Municipality guidelines.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety management systems and workplace safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills.
  • Strong risk identification and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety reporting documentation.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be an advantage.
