Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Operations Specialist responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and efficient administration of core HR systems and processes, including the ERP, attendance and payroll inputs, compensation and benefits administration, WPS compliance, and performance management system support.

The HR Operations Specialist will ensure that every employee record, transaction, and process is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready, enabling HR decisions across the business to be based on reliable data.

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Systems, or Compensation & Benefits, ideally within construction, contracting, or another UAE-based operationally intensive sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day administration of the HR ERP system, ensuring all employee master data, including personal details, job data, leave balances, assets, and photos, is complete and kept current.
  • Run regular data audits and reconciliations to identify and correct gaps, errors, or outdated records.
  • Maintain accurate active/inactive employment status records to support workforce reporting and final settlement processing.
  • Administer compensation and benefits processes in line with the approved grading framework and salary structure.
  • Ensure WPS (Wage Protection System) details are accurately entered, updated, and reconciled in the ERP ahead of every payroll cycle.
  • Verify that attendance punch-in/out compliance is met as a mandatory input before salary processing, escalating exceptions as per SOP.
  • Process leave settlements and final settlements (End of Service) accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
  • Monitor daily attendance data, follow up on discrepancies with department heads, and maintain time and attendance records in the ERP.
  • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of attendance policies and mandatory punch-in/out compliance.
  • Configure and maintain the performance appraisal module in the ERP, ensuring KPI/KRA records, ratings, and review cycles are tracked accurately.
  • Provide reporting to the HR Manager on appraisal completion rates and outstanding actions.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of HR SOPs relating to ERP use, payroll inputs, attendance, and settlements.
  • Prepare regular HR operations reports and dashboards covering headcount, attrition, leave liability, and WPS status for the HR Manager and leadership.
  • Ensure all HR operations comply with UAE Labour Law and Wage Protection System requirements.
  • Guide and review the work of the temporary HR Data Entry resource during the ERP data clean-up phase.
  • Coordinate internally with the HR Manager, People & Culture Specialist, Finance/Payroll, Department Heads, and IT/ERP support.
  • Coordinate externally with ERP/software vendors, WPS/bank service providers, and government relations, as required for labour compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Operations, HR Systems, or Compensation & Benefits role.
  • Experience within construction, contracting, or another UAE-based operationally intensive sector is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience administering an HR/ERP system is essential.
  • Solid working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, WPS, and end-of-service settlement calculations.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to manage large volumes of structured data.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and HR systems/ERP platforms.
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to build and follow SOPs.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with department heads, payroll, and finance on data and compliance matters.
  • Discretion and integrity in handling confidential employee and compensation data.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • 100% accuracy and currency of ERP employee records, including leave, WPS, assets, photos, and employment status.
  • Zero payroll processing delays caused by missing attendance or WPS data.
  • Turnaround time for leave and final settlements within the agreed SLA.
  • On-time completion rate of performance appraisal cycles in the ERP.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of HR operations reporting to leadership.
