Job Brief:

We are hiring for an HSE Officer job in Abu Dhabi to support our client’s health, safety, and environmental operations within the manufacturing industry.

The ideal candidate will help implement safety standards, conduct inspections, and promote a strong safety culture across the facility. This role requires solid HSE knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations and relevant international standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits within the manufacturing facility to identify hazards and ensure safe operational practices.
  • Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) standards where applicable.
  • Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to employees across different levels to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of safety reports, audit findings, incident reports, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills and ensure preparedness across teams in case of workplace emergencies.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities when required and ensure adherence to UAE HSE laws, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to occupational health, safety, and environmental practices within the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Safety Engineering or a related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, safety data analysis, and record management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to promote and influence a positive safety culture within the workplace.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
