Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Indoor Sales Engineer to support customers by providing technical and commercial solutions for diesel engine spare parts and related components. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, identifying spare parts using electronic parts catalogues, preparing quotations, processing sales orders, and coordinating with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of diesel engine spare parts, excellent customer service skills, and experience in spare parts sales. Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries via email, telephone, and walk-in visits.
  • Identify genuine diesel engine spare parts using Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC) and engine serial numbers.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders.
  • Follow up on quotations to maximize sales conversion.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams regarding stock availability and delivery schedules.
  • Recommend suitable spare parts and replacement solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Coordinate with the service department to provide technical support when required.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and efficient service.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in spare parts sales, preferably for diesel engines or similar industrial equipment.
  • Good knowledge of diesel engine components and spare parts.
  • Experience using Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC).
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.
  • Product knowledge of diesel engines, engine spare parts, filters, fuel-injection components, cooling-system parts, turbochargers, electrical components, engine overhaul kits, gaskets, and seals will be an advantage.
  • Strong technical product knowledge, quotation preparation, order processing, inventory coordination, sales administration, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
