Job Brief:

Our client in the paper manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician for a job in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems, preferably within a paper mill or similar manufacturing environment.

The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspection, calibration, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair sensors, transmitters, control valves, switches, and control loops.
Identify and resolve instrumentation faults to minimize equipment downtime.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
Monitor and maintain instrumentation used for process control and automation within the paper mill.
Work with PLC/DCS systems for monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic fault identification.
Calibrate and maintain pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process measuring instruments.
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new instrumentation and control equipment.
Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, and repairs.
Follow all applicable safety procedures and maintenance standards while carrying out instrumentation work.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and production teams to resolve equipment and process-related issues.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician within the paper manufacturing industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with instrumentation and control systems used in paper mills is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of sensors, transmitters, control valves, and control loops.
Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and process control systems.
Experience working with PLC/DCS systems is preferred.
Ability to read and understand instrumentation diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
