Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Interior Designer specialising in kitchens, wardrobes, and custom joinery for its furniture manufacturing operations in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will manage design projects from client consultation and site surveys through design development, technical drawings, production coordination, and final quality inspection. The role requires strong technical design skills, knowledge of joinery materials and manufacturing processes, and the ability to coordinate with production and project teams.

Previous UAE experience in interior fit-out and construction is mandatory, along with hands-on experience in kitchen, wardrobe, and custom joinery design.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct client consultations to understand design requirements, preferences, and project specifications.
Perform site surveys and take accurate measurements for kitchens, wardrobes, and custom joinery installations.
Develop functional and aesthetically appealing designs for kitchens, wardrobes, and bespoke joinery.
Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings, technical layouts, and 3D designs and renderings.
Revise drawings and design proposals based on client feedback and project requirements.
Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories according to design specifications.
Coordinate with estimators, production teams, and project managers to ensure accurate design implementation.
Monitor factory production against approved drawings and technical specifications.
Conduct final inspections to ensure completed products meet approved designs and quality standards.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch), B.Tech, or a related discipline.
Previous UAE experience in interior fit-out and construction is mandatory.
Proven experience designing kitchens, wardrobes, and custom joinery.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design and rendering software.
Strong knowledge of technical shop drawings, materials, finishes, hardware, and joinery production processes.
Ability to conduct site surveys, take measurements, and prepare accurate technical drawings.
Experience coordinating with estimators, factory production teams, and project managers.
Good communication, coordination, and project management skills.
Ability to manage design revisions and ensure production meets approved drawings and quality requirements.
Candidates must submit a design portfolio demonstrating relevant kitchen, wardrobe, and joinery projects.
