Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate the movement of incoming and outgoing steel products. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of steel products, material handling, shipping regulations, customs procedures, inventory management, and logistics operations.

The role involves coordinating deliveries, preparing shipping documentation, managing inventory records, and ensuring efficient transportation and distribution of steel materials. Hands-on experience with Hamriyah Customs is mandatory, along with knowledge of Dubai Customs and E-Mirsal.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand and apply working knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, duties requirements, and other related concepts.
Coordinate and prepare the documentation required to expedite deliveries from stock to customers.
Serve as a point of contact for emergency shipping and receiving, including after-hours and weekend on-call assignments.
Process inventory data updates and assist in resolving inventory and shipment-related issues.
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks as required.
Perform systematic data entry and print daily sales orders, generate delivery notes, and prepare shipping documents.
Provide customer service support for delivery requests.
Ensure that all steel materials are properly stored and that all activities comply with the company's Health and Safety standards.
Ensure delivery orders are processed on time and efficiently, including planning delivery routes and locations in consultation with customers and based on the load table, selecting appropriate modes of transportation, monitoring deliveries, and updating clients.
Communicate and coordinate order fulfilment status and resolve related issues with various stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree. A diploma in Supply Chain Management would be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience in material handling or logistics operations.
Hands-on experience with Hamriyah Customs is mandatory.
Knowledge of Dubai Customs and E-Mirsal is required.
Good knowledge of steel products and related logistics operations is required.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a motivated and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with management, sales teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
