Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Executive for their operations in the chemical trading industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of logistics experience in the UAE, with strong expertise in freight costing, sea and land freight operations, bulk cargo shipments, and coordination with shipping companies.

The role requires hands-on experience in chemical logistics, including container shipments, road transportation, vessel chartering, and shipment coordination. Established contacts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other shipping entities are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage logistics operations for chemical products, including domestic and international shipments.
Prepare and evaluate freight costing, including air, sea, and land freight quotations.
Manage bulk cargo movements and shipment operations.
Coordinate vessel chartering activities and related shipping arrangements.
Handle container shipments, including booking, scheduling, documentation, and shipment tracking.
Coordinate road transportation and land freight operations.
Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport companies, and other logistics service providers.
Negotiate freight rates and coordinate cost-effective shipping arrangements.
Maintain strong relationships and regular communication with shipping entities.
Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate timely cargo movements.
Prepare and maintain shipping documents and logistics records.
Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Resolve shipment-related issues and support efficient logistics execution.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of logistics experience in the UAE is mandatory.
Previous experience in chemical logistics or chemical trading operations is required.
Practical experience in both sea and land freight operations is mandatory.
Established professional contacts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other shipping entities are mandatory.
Experience handling bulk cargo and shipment operations.
Knowledge of vessel chartering and shipping arrangements.
Hands-on experience in freight costing and preparation of freight quotations is mandatory.
Experience coordinating container shipments and road transportation.
Understanding of import and export shipping procedures and documentation.
Strong coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments, freight quotations, and logistics activities simultaneously.
