Job Brief:A manufacturing company is looking for a Logistics Executive to oversee the dispatch of cement/clinker and manage the inbound logistics of containers arriving from India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shipping documentation, customs clearance, and maintaining up-to-date reports on logistics performance. This role requires strong coordination skills, knowledge of UAE customs procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:Dispatch Coordination:- Plan and execute the timely dispatch of cement and clinker as per daily and weekly schedules.
- Liaise with transporters to arrange vehicles for dispatch and ensure proper documentation accompanies each shipment.
- Monitor loading activities to ensure accuracy in quantity and product type.
Container Management:- Coordinate the receipt of inbound containers from India, ensuring efficient unloading and storage.
- Track container movement from port to site and manage the return of empty containers within the free time.
Documentation & Customs Handling:- Prepare and verify shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Bills of Entry, commercial invoices, packing lists, and delivery orders.
- Coordinate with clearing agents and customs officials to ensure prompt clearance from Fujairah, Dubai, and RAK customs.
- Handle duty refund claims and follow up with authorities for timely reimbursements.
Compliance & Reporting:- Ensure adherence to local import/export laws, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Maintain and update logistics MIS reports, including dispatch logs, container tracking sheets, and customs clearance status.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and logistics cost analysis for senior management.
Coordination & Communication:- Communicate effectively with suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and internal departments such as sales and production.
- Address and resolve logistical issues or delays proactively to avoid supply chain disruptions.
