Job Brief:We are seeking a skilled Lubrication Technician to support maintenance operations within a leading organization in the paper manufacturing industry. The role involves implementing lubrication and greasing practices across the mill to ensure optimal equipment performance, reduce mechanical failures, and support smooth plant operations.
The Lubrication Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities related to lubrication systems, monitoring lubrication performance, and ensuring that all lubricants and greases meet the operational requirements of the mill. The role also requires close coordination with production teams and maintenance supervisors to identify issues, support shutdown activities, and ensure the timely execution of maintenance work orders.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance tasks in assigned areas, and support other areas when required.
- Participate in shutdown maintenance activities within responsible areas or workshops as needed.
- Request and obtain permits and equipment isolations from production before commencing maintenance activities.
- Communicate with production teams to collect information on operational issues or production-related problems that may affect equipment performance.
- Inform the supervisor about any changes to assigned work, technical issues, or challenges encountered during maintenance activities.
- Implement lubrication and greasing practices across the mill to ensure efficient machinery operation and reduced wear and tear.
- Identify and define improvement opportunities in lubrication and greasing practices within the mill to enhance maintenance efficiency.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards around lubrication equipment and related maintenance areas.
- Ensure that all materials, lubricants, greases, and tools required for lubrication activities are available and properly maintained at the mill.
- Verify that all lubricants and greases used meet the mill’s operational and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot lubrication-related issues affecting machinery performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Execute assigned maintenance work orders within the agreed schedule to ensure minimal operational disruption.
- Monitor equipment for potential failure developments, take corrective action where possible, or initiate work requests and report issues to the responsible department.
- Identify and define necessary updates or improvements to preventive maintenance work orders to enhance maintenance processes and reliability.
