Job Brief:
Our client, a leading HVAC contractor in Abu Dhabi, is hiring a detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman with strong HVAC drafting experience. The ideal candidate should have a background in mechanical drafting, hands-on experience with AutoCAD, and working knowledge of ductwork and chilled water piping layouts. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE and SMACNA is essential, along with strong communication skills in English.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare HVAC system drawings, including ductwork and chilled water piping layouts.
  • Draft detailed HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP (preferred).
  • Perform duct and pipe sizing calculations in accordance with SMACNA and ASHRAE standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure drafting aligns with project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for HVAC systems on commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Drafting or AutoCAD Drafting.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in HVAC drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience in Revit MEP is preferred.
  • Strong experience in drafting ductwork and chilled water piping layouts.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.
  • Proven experience in duct and pipe sizing calculations.
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial HVAC projects.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
