Job Brief:
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical works within construction projects across Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE experience—especially in petrol station projects—and a solid understanding of local regulations and industry standards. This role involves project planning, site supervision, technical support, compliance, quality control, budgeting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Execution: Review and interpret mechanical drawings, prepare installation plans, and coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee mechanical technicians and site teams, ensuring high-quality installation and execution of HVAC, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems and installations comply with UAE local authority regulations (DEWA, SEWA, DM, EWE, Civil Defense, etc.) and adhere to company and industry safety standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and workmanship, review and approve technical submittals, and perform quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and support testing, commissioning, and system performance validation.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and maintain accurate logs for materials, inspections, and testing activities.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Assist in cost estimation, review supplier quotations, and support budgeting and resource planning for mechanical works.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of UAE experience in mechanical engineering within the construction sector; experience with petrol station projects is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and local authority standards (DEWA, SEWA, DM, EWE, Civil Defense).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings; familiarity with CAD software.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • UAE driving licence with own car is preferred.
