Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a white cement manufacturing plant in Fujairah, UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical equipment and machinery within the cement manufacturing plant. The role involves hands-on mechanical maintenance, monitoring plant equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring smooth production operations with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the cement manufacturing industry, with practical knowledge of raw mills, kilns, cement mills, conveyors, fans, and other cement plant equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery within the cement manufacturing plant.
Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanical technicians and fitters to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment, including raw mills, kilns, cement mills, conveyors, and fans.
Participate in root cause analysis of mechanical failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Contribute to the installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems and equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise equipment breakdowns and improve machinery reliability.
Perform daily maintenance job planning and identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance activities.
Conduct hands-on mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, breakdowns, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Prepare daily reports on mechanical maintenance operations and submit them to the relevant senior engineer or manager.
Maintain equipment inspection checklists, lubrication records, and other maintenance documentation.
Monitor maintenance performance indicators, including equipment availability, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and preventive maintenance compliance.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
3–5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in the cement manufacturing industry.
Practical maintenance knowledge of cement plant equipment, including raw mills, kilns, cement mills, conveyors, and fans.
Hands-on experience in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
Experience supervising or coordinating mechanical technicians and fitters.
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with maintenance and production teams to support uninterrupted cement plant operations.
