Job Brief:
We are hiring a skilled Mechanical Technician for our client in the paper manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically within paper mills, and possess the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repair activities across various paper production machinery.
  • Identify and understand the functions of all major components in a paper machine section.
  • Service and repair rolls, gearboxes, pumps, bearing units, and mechanical seals.
  • Conduct overhauling and routine maintenance of pulpers, agitators, blowers, safety valves, and various industrial valves.
  • Operate lifting equipment and carry out mechanical repair works on winders and conveyors.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of machinery used in paper production.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a paper mill or related industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Able to understand/identify complete paper machine section parts and their function.
  • Expertise in Paper machine roll service / Repair works, Gearbox service, roll bearing change, and all types of pump repair, including bearing unit and mechanical seal replacement, and overhauling.
  • Expertise in Pulper, Agitator, Blower repair works, Safety Valves / Valve repair, and replacement works.
  • Expertise in winders/conveyors / able to operate lifting equipment for required repair work.
