Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer responsible for the design review, coordination, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems for power projects.

The role coordinates HVAC, fire protection, service water/plumbing, EOT crane, lighting, and small power systems, and ensures that MEP activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards, and HSE requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Actively follow and promote the Company Safety and Security policies and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same. These policies are to be followed at all times within the Company environment to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all.
Review MEP design calculations, drawings, specifications, material submittals, and contractor technical submissions prior to submission for client/consultant approval.
Review MEP contractor input drawings and coordinate with the internal Civil, Electrical, and Design teams to finalize layouts and resolve multidisciplinary design interfaces.
Prepare/review Bills of Materials and material requisitions for MEP systems, including booster, transfer, recirculation, and drainage pumps, plumbing materials, lighting, and small power systems.
Coordinate the technical review and selection of major MEP equipment, including EOT cranes, ACCUs, AHUs, ventilation fans, HVAC control panels, fire pumps, and fire alarm control panels.
Review fire and life safety drawings and coordinate the required submissions and technical requirements for consultant/client and applicable authority approvals.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, MEP contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams, providing technical clarifications and resolving design, material, and interface issues.
Coordinate FAT inspections for major MEP equipment and ensure approved engineering documents are available prior to providing manufacturing clearance to vendors.
Monitor MEP design, material, and site progress and coordinate with contractors to ensure equipment, materials, and manpower are available in accordance with project requirements and schedules.
Review and inspect MEP installation activities prior to client/consultant inspection and prepare/coordinate RFIs for material, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Supervise MEP site activities and ensure installation, testing, and commissioning are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, and HSE requirements.
Coordinate and supervise the successful completion, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems with contractors, vendors, clients, and consultants.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant MEP engineering experience, preferably including power/substation projects.
Experience in MEP design review, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Experience with HVAC, fire protection/fire alarm, service water/plumbing, lighting & small power, and associated MEP systems.
Experience coordinating MEP contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Good knowledge of MEP systems, installation methods, and testing & commissioning requirements.
Ability to review MEP design calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical/material submittals.
Good understanding of HVAC, fire protection/fire alarm, plumbing/service water, lighting, and small power systems.
Ability to coordinate Civil, Electrical, and MEP interfaces.
Ability to identify and resolve technical/site issues.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
Arabic or any additional language would be considered an advantage.
