Job Brief:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to support the procurement process for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services related to MEP and main contracting projects. This role requires strong technical understanding, effective negotiation skills, and close coordination with engineering, project, site, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing aligned with project requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review material requisitions in coordination with the project and engineering teams.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, materials, and subcontractors in line with project specifications and requirements.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend cost-effective procurement options.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and site teams to track material deliveries and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Maintain supplier databases, procurement logs, and material tracking reports accurately.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounts teams for invoice verification and payment processing.
  • Support vendor prequalification processes and material submittal procedures.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of UAE experience as a Procurement Engineer in an MEP or main contracting company.
  • Proven experience in the building construction field.
  • Background from an electromechanical or main contracting company is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP materials, specifications, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle experience is an advantage).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good understanding of the UAE supplier and vendor markets (preferred).
  • Candidates currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately or within a short notice period are preferred.
  • A valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.
