Job Purpose:The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project schedules, with a strong focus on outage planning for power plants. The role involves cost control, manpower estimation, and risk management to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective execution of projects.
Job Responsibilities:- Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules aligned with project objectives and execution plans.
- Monitor daily progress and coordinate with site teams to resolve delays, issues, and resource gaps.
- Prepare and manage outage plans, including manpower, tools, and consumables, in coordination with the Project Manager/Operations Manager.
- Generate cost estimates, resource plans, and forecasting reports for management review.
- Attend client meetings to present schedule updates, project progress, and resource allocation.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify schedule impacts and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Provide regular reports on schedule performance, manpower utilization, and cost tracking.
- Coordinate with service and procurement teams to align activities with project timelines.
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for accurate planning and tracking.
- Recommend and implement planning tools, techniques, and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Support tendering activities by preparing preliminary schedules and manpower estimates.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, client specifications, and industry best practices.
