Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining integrated project schedules covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, and handover.

The role provides progress monitoring, schedule analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support the achievement of contractual milestones and project objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Actively follow and promote the Company Safety and Security policies and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same. These policies are to be followed at all times within the Company environment to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all.
Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, and handover.
Prepare baseline, resource-loaded, updated, look-ahead, and recovery schedules in accordance with contractual and project requirements.
Monitor actual progress against approved schedules, identify deviations, constraints, and schedule risks, and assess their impact on project milestones.
Perform critical path, resource, productivity, and schedule analysis and recommend mitigation or recovery measures.
Prepare progress reports, S-curves, manpower/resource histograms, dashboards, schedule narratives, and project forecasts.
Coordinate planning and progress activities with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, T&C, Commercial, and other project teams.
Monitor engineering deliverables, procurement, material/equipment deliveries, and subcontractor progress against the overall project programme.
Perform delay and schedule impact analysis and support the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
Monitor contractual milestones and provide timely notification of actual or potential schedule impacts.
Participate in internal and client/consultant progress meetings and provide planning updates, forecasts, and schedule analysis.
Support tender planning through the preparation of preliminary schedules, execution programmes, and resource plans.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
Relevant professional training or certification in Project Planning, Project Controls, or Project Management would be an advantage.
Minimum 8–10 years of project planning and scheduling experience in EPC, infrastructure, utility, or construction projects.
Strong experience developing and managing integrated EPC schedules from Engineering through Testing & Commissioning and handover.
Proven experience in baseline/recovery scheduling, progress monitoring, critical path analysis, resource loading, and forecasting.
Experience in delay analysis, schedule impact assessment, and EOT/claims support.
UAE/GCC EPC experience and client/consultant coordination experience preferred.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, with strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, WBS, schedule logic, and resource loading.
Strong knowledge of baseline, updated, look-ahead, and recovery schedule development.
Strong understanding of progress measurement, S-curves, productivity analysis, forecasting, and delay analysis.
Good understanding of the complete EPC project lifecycle and Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and T&C interfaces.
Strong MS Excel, analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent communication skills in English, including writing, speaking, and reading.
Arabic language skills are preferred, and knowledge of additional languages would be considered an advantage.
