Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the operations of a cement manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, product quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cement manufacturing, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to develop high-performing teams while managing production, maintenance, quality, and sustainability initiatives. Job Responsibilities:

  • Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and maintaining full compliance with health, safety, environmental legislation, and operating permits.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage all plant operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and deadlines while maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to establish production priorities and lead daily operational meetings.
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for the plant, setting goals for reliability, productivity, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide inspirational leadership by building, motivating, coaching, and developing a high-performing and customer-focused team.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of plant assets, including quarry reserves, to maximize equipment availability and operational uptime.
  • Ensure all cement products consistently meet established quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Lead change management initiatives and champion continuous improvement programs that enhance operational performance and drive innovation.
  • Represent the organization with local authorities, communities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and promote collaboration.
  • Work closely with the sales team to strengthen customer relationships and improve service delivery.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with labour laws, promote positive employee relations, and support staff development through coaching, delegation, and performance management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business Administration. An Engineering degree is preferred, while an MBA will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical and managerial experience in cement manufacturing, with proven senior management experience in the cement or heavy industry.
  • Strong experience with pre-heater, pre-calciner, and dry process cement production is highly preferred.
  • UAE or GCC experience will be an advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of cement production processes, cement chemistry, quarry operations, manufacturing practices, and maintenance management.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills with experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to operational details.
  • High ethical standards, strong work ethic, and commitment to production excellence.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
