Job Summary:
As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for construction projects within the civil engineering industry. Leveraging your extensive experience in the UAE construction sector, you will develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and equipment required for project success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and purchasing processes for construction projects.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable contracts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand material requirements, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with project needs and specifications.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, generate purchase orders, and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues or discrepancies, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the procurement process.
  • Coordinate with finance departments to manage budgets, track expenses, and optimize procurement costs.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (10 years overall) in procurement within the UAE construction (civil) industry.
  • Proven track record of successful procurement management for civil engineering projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish favorable supplier contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement software.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Thorough understanding of local regulations and laws governing procurement practices in the UAE.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.
