Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with solid experience in steel fabrication. The role involves handling the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials and services to support fabrication projects. The ideal candidate should have strong vendor management skills and a background in mechanical engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers for steel, fabrication materials, and related services.
Prepare and process purchase requisitions and orders in line with project requirements.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure the timely availability of required materials.
Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Monitor inventory levels and align procurement activities with project deadlines.
Ensure all purchased items comply with quality standards and specifications.
Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and market studies for management.

Job Requirements:

6–7 years of proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, preferably in steel fabrication.
Bachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
Diploma holders may also be considered, provided they have strong relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
