Job Brief:A leading chemical trading company is seeking a Procurement Executive to manage purchasing operations for raw materials and chemical products. The ideal candidate will have a background in Chemical Engineering and 1–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.
Job Responsibilities:- Source and negotiate with suppliers for chemical raw materials and related products.
- Coordinate with internal teams to identify and fulfill material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, pricing, and supplier information.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
- Support procurement planning and budgeting activities to improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely follow-up on orders and deliveries.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for chemicals, packaging materials, and related goods.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor their performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Research and identify new suppliers or alternative sources to reduce dependency and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and resolve any discrepancies.
- Liaise with logistics partners for import/export activities, customs documentation, and shipment tracking.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Monitor market trends, currency fluctuations, and chemical price movements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records: supplier activity, purchase history, pricing logs, and trackers.
- Evaluate procurement trends, payment status, and supplier performance.
- Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, presentations, meeting agendas, and minutes of meetings.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technical, and Operations teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Support new product introductions by sourcing specialty chemicals or alternate suppliers.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders on procurement status, delivery schedules, and market developments.
