Job Brief:The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading automation initiatives, managing machine-related projects, and driving process improvements across all divisions. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on project execution capability, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Project Engineer will work closely with machine vendors, suppliers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of automation and manufacturing projects. The role reports directly to the Global Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:Vendor & Supplier Management- Coordinate with machine vendors, conduct follow-ups, and ensure all technical and delivery requirements are met.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain and support project requirements.
- Conduct visits to machine suppliers for evaluation, audits, and relationship building.
Technical Specifications & Documentation- Develop, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation for machinery and manufacturing systems.
- Recommend and approve technical specifications for machinery and automation systems.
Manufacturing Operations & Technology Implementation- Gain a deep understanding of machine operations to maximize performance and efficiency.
- Research, assess, and implement new technologies with a strong focus on automation and advanced manufacturing methods.
- Introduce and evaluate new process methods to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Project Execution- Lead automation and manufacturing projects across all divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and project timelines.
- Collaborate with all divisions to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day project execution, technical implementation, supplier follow-ups, and progress tracking.
Procurement Coordination & Cross-Functional Support- Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across multiple divisions, influencing project scope and execution.
Reporting & Leadership- Provide regular updates, performance metrics, and progress reports to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with global standards and provide technical guidance where applicable.
Decision-Making Authority:- Authorized to recommend and approve technical specifications for machinery and automation systems.
- Can identify and propose new suppliers (final approval by procurement/senior management).
- Leads automation/manufacturing projects, making operational decisions within defined scope and budget.
Leadership & Influence:- Directly responsible for coordinating across all company divisions.
- Acts as the primary liaison between vendors, suppliers, procurement teams, and divisional stakeholders.
- Influences project direction, implementation quality, and supplier performance.
Scope of Responsibility:- Cross-divisional authority with responsibility for aligning multiple departments under automation and manufacturing project goals.
- Ensures supplier performance, project timelines, and technology implementation across the organization.
