Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage the execution of projects involving Air Intake & Exhaust Systems for Gas Turbines (GT), Compressors, Diesel Engines, Air Pollution Control (APC) products, and related industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams and clients, overseeing project planning and execution, monitoring project schedules and costs, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent coordination skills, and practical knowledge of project scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Sales and Applications teams during the project bidding stage.
  • Manage and control multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attend client meetings to ensure manufacturing, installation, coordination, and project planning activities are aligned with client expectations.
  • Develop project priorities and continuously monitor the status of assigned projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor project cost control requirements.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports to update clients and internal departments on project progress and activities.
  • Prepare project summary reports and completion certificates upon project completion.
  • Assist the Finance Department in resolving receivable-related issues.
  • Complete project execution documentation for assigned projects in collaboration with the QA/QC team.
  • Support procurement activities by sourcing suppliers and analysing quotations.
  • Create Purchase Orders.
  • Prepare Delivery Notes and collect Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
  • Review vendor invoices and verify their accuracy.
  • Prepare Packing Lists and Shipping Invoices.
  • Prepare project cost summaries reflecting actual project expenditures for invoicing purposes by the Finance Department.
  • Utilize MS Project, Primavera P6, or both, for project planning and scheduling.
  • Prepare General Assembly Drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare cost estimates, manufacturing and installation schedules, method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and work packs for project execution.
  • Ensure company site safety procedures and environmental codes of practice are implemented throughout installation activities.
  • Supervise the erection and modification of Gas Turbine auxiliary equipment on site.
  • Assess labour and equipment requirements for projects and prepare price analyses.
  • Provide technical guidance to field service representatives regarding installation, operation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Lead, support, and manage subcontractors to ensure timely project execution while maintaining compliance with safety procedures.
  • Monitor health and safety documentation and conduct site safety inspections.

Job Requirements:

Essential
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant Project Engineering experience.
  • Experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong project scheduling and project cost control experience.
  • Experience preparing project documentation, progress reports, and completion reports.
  • Procurement support experience, including sourcing suppliers and analysing quotations.
  • Experience creating Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Packing Lists, Shipping Invoices, and project cost summaries.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, or both.
Desired
  • Experience preparing General Assembly Drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Experience preparing cost estimates, manufacturing and installation schedules, method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and work packs.
  • Site supervision experience involving Gas Turbine auxiliary equipment installation and modification.
  • Experience assessing labour and equipment requirements and preparing price analyses.
  • Experience providing technical guidance during installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements and site safety management.
