Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Civil with a minimum of 5 years of experience in building construction projects in the UAE, particularly Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising construction activities, coordinating site operations, monitoring project progress, and ensuring projects are completed according to approved drawings, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.

The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of building construction, hands-on site experience, and the ability to manage construction activities through project completion and handover.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage civil construction activities at project sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety regulations, and project requirements through final handover.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, identify technical issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely project completion.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, survey reports, topographical and geological data, and other technical documents.
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Identify potential project risks and implement preventive measures to minimise delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
Monitor construction activities across different project stages and coordinate the necessary site resources.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, change orders, and quality control records.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or equivalent role in Dubai.
Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE building construction projects.
Dubai G+4 or G+12 approval/licence is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of practical experience using AutoCAD.
Proven experience supervising construction activities and managing building projects through completion and handover.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, steel structures, construction materials, and applicable regulations.
Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, survey reports, and construction documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant engineering software.
Ability to manage multiple construction projects at different stages.
Strong project coordination, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good communication, organisational, and team management abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality construction work.
