Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil to take responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and completion of assigned construction projects.

The Project Manager will be responsible for understanding the project’s Contract, BOQ, Specifications, and Drawings, developing project plans covering scope, budget, timelines, and resources, and ensuring projects are completed within the agreed budget and schedule.

The ideal candidate should have 8–10 years of UAE experience and strong experience managing construction projects, including project planning, progress monitoring, variations and EOTs, client/consultant coordination, MEP coordination, project costs, quality, safety, authority approvals, snagging, and final handover. The client’s original JD places particular emphasis on successful project completion, budget control, and liaison with clients and consultants.

Job Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and completion of assigned construction projects.
Understand the project’s Contract, BOQ, Specifications, and Drawings.
Develop project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Monitor and act on variations and EOTs in a timely manner.
Ensure the baseline schedule is updated regularly as an ongoing process in coordination with the Planning Engineer.
Handle project correspondence with the client, consultant, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Prepare and present weekly progress updates while monitoring and managing project progress and timelines.
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, as applicable.
Ensure all MEP work is in line with project requirements by working closely with the MEP team.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
Ensure Material Requests (MRs) are raised for all long-lead items well in advance.
Coordinate with the site team, Head Office, and consultant to ensure all submittals, approvals, etc. are obtained on time.
Ensure all site records for all departments are maintained at the site.
Confirm project quality and accuracy by conducting inspections and reviews.
Manage project changes and ensure changes are implemented in a timely manner.
Track and report project costs and financial performance on a regular basis.
Attend meetings with the client, consultant, subcontractors, etc., as required.
Undertake regular site inspections for quality and safety adherence.
Ensure and coordinate timely authority inspections and approvals.
Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and reduce expenses.
Complete and hand over the project with a proper snag list and plan for clearing the same.
Obtain the Work Completion Certificate from the client and consultant.

Job Requirements:

8–10 years of UAE experience in managing construction projects.
Strong experience in construction project planning, execution, and completion.
Ability to understand and manage Contracts, BOQs, Specifications, and Drawings.
Experience developing and managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Experience monitoring and managing variations and EOTs.
Experience coordinating baseline schedules with Planning Engineers.
Strong experience handling correspondence and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, site teams, and internal departments.
Experience coordinating MEP works in line with project requirements.
Experience managing submittals, approvals, site records, project changes, costs, and financial performance.
Strong understanding of project quality and safety requirements.
Experience coordinating authority inspections and approvals.
Experience managing project snagging, final handover, and Work Completion Certificates.
Ability to improve project efficiency and support cost reduction.
