Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced QA/QC Documentation professional to control and maintain quality documentation for miter bend and fittings manufacturing projects. The role involves coordinating with QC Engineers, Production, Engineering, Planning, Client, and TPIA for the collection, review, submission, approval, and traceability of quality documents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and complete QA/QC documentation submissions, maintaining document traceability, and expediting Client/TPIA approvals so that manufacturing, inspection, product release, and project milestones are not delayed due to documentation.

This QA/QC Documentation Job in Dubai requires relevant experience in QA/QC documentation, document control, or oil & gas fabrication projects, along with strong knowledge of quality records, inspection documentation, document registers, transmittals, and electronic document-control systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Control and maintain QA/QC documentation for miter bend and fittings manufacturing projects.
  • Coordinate with QC Engineers, Production, Engineering, Planning, Client, and TPIA for the collection, review, and submission of quality documents.
  • Review documents for completeness, correct revision, traceability, signatures, inspection status, and compliance with approved formats before submission.
  • Prepare and maintain document registers, inspection registers, test registers, NCR registers, punch lists, and submission trackers.
  • Prepare and expedite Inspection Requests (IRs), inspection notifications, and related documentation for Client/TPIA submission.
  • Follow up with QC Engineers and concerned departments for pending inspection reports, NDT reports, test certificates, MTCs, calibration certificates, and other required quality records.
  • Expedite the compilation and submission of Manufacturing Record Books (MRB), Quality Dossiers, and final data books.
  • Maintain proper revision control and prevent unintended use of obsolete documents.
  • Ensure customer/project documents are handled confidentially and stored in the approved document-control system.
  • Monitor document submission status and highlight delays or missing documents to the Head – QA/QC.
  • Maintain soft and hard-copy records as required by the project and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with Client/TPIA regarding document comments, resubmissions, approvals, and document status.
  • Maintain an organized filing and retrieval system for all QA/QC records.
  • Check that inspection reports contain the required identification, date, inspection stage, acceptance criteria, signatures, and approvals.
  • Verify consistency of heat numbers, component numbers, weld numbers, drawing numbers, and inspection references across quality records.
  • Compile supporting documents, including MTCs, NDT reports, PWHT charts, hydrotest reports, dimensional reports, PMI/hardness reports, and calibration certificates, as applicable.
  • Prepare document transmittals and submission packages in accordance with project requirements.
  • Expedite responses to Client/TPIA comments and ensure revised documents are resubmitted within the agreed timeline.
  • Track approval, rejection, and resubmission status and maintain an updated document status report.
  • Coordinate daily with QC Engineers to ensure inspection documents are received promptly after completion of inspection.
  • Coordinate with Production and Engineering to obtain missing or corrected records required for submission.
  • Follow up with TPIA/NDT laboratories/subcontractors for pending reports and certificates.
  • Escalate overdue or critical documentation affecting product release, dispatch, or project milestones.
  • Support the preparation and timely closure of quality-document punch points.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree; technical documentation experience preferred.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in QA/QC documentation, document control, or oil & gas fabrication projects.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, document registers, transmittals, and electronic document-control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings, inspection reports, MTCs, NDT reports, and project quality documentation.
  • Good coordination, communication, follow-up, and document-tracking skills.
  • Ability to ensure timely, accurate, and complete QA/QC documentation submissions for miter bend and fittings projects.
  • Ability to maintain document traceability and expedite Client/TPIA approvals to prevent delays to manufacturing, inspection, and product release.
