Job Brief:We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused
Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of metal fabrication projects, including steel and aluminium works. The role involves overseeing cost control, billing, variations, and final accounts from project execution through to final handover. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial management, compliance with contractual terms, and smooth project close-out.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit interim payment applications, progress claims, and final bills in line with contract terms and project milestones.
- Measure, verify, and certify quantities of work executed at site for steel and aluminium fabrication and installation works.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders, change requests, and additional works with clients and consultants.
- Monitor project budgets, prepare cost reports, and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify subcontractor invoices, supplier bills, and payment applications to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers and project teams to track work progress and assess cost and commercial impact.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, variations, claims, approvals, and related commercial documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts, reconciliation statements, and project close-out documentation.
- Support management during commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, payment procedures, documentation standards, and internal commercial controls.
