Regional Engineer – Mechanical & Fire Protection

Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Engineer – Mechanical & Fire Protection to support, execute, and manage new and existing plant and facility upgrade projects across the region.
The role involves applying sound engineering principles, project management practices, and NFPA standards to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality and compliance requirements. The position is based in Dubai and involves regular regional travel.
The selected candidate will report to the Regional Technical Manager – Engineering & Projects and provide technical leadership and support to multiple manufacturing facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support engineering projects across the region by setting standards, providing training, coordinating activities, and conducting audits.
  • Control project costs, schedules, and quality to ensure compliance with internal standards and business principles.
  • Implement best practices and standardized engineering solutions across all regional facilities.
  • Apply sound engineering principles and NFPA standards to develop efficient mechanical and fire protection systems.
  • Participate in all project phases, including concept development, detailed design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing plants and facilities as required.
  • Assist in procurement activities, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and supporting vendor selection.
  • Monitor and improve energy performance at regional manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with local regulations and international fire safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering systems and processes.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Mechanical and Fire Protection Engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • GCC experience is mandatory; UAE experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety requirements, including local regulations and in-depth knowledge of NFPA standards, especially: NFPA 10, 13, 15, 20, 30, 25, 72, 101.
  • Proven track record in supporting and managing complex engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering best practices, process control systems, and standardized technical solutions.
  • Experience in cost control, quality management, and safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
