Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer (Energy) to drive sales and business development activities for the Steel Materials & Solutions business across the Middle East region. The role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering innovative steel solutions to key sectors, including Oil & Gas (Upstream & Downstream), LNG, Offshore Wind, Energy, and Industrial Projects.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and commercial acumen, experience in industrial sales, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers while achieving business growth objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Middle East region.
  • Expand existing customer accounts while acquiring new clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide customized steel solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare quotations, tender submissions, commercial proposals, and contracts.
  • Present technical and commercial solutions to customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
  • Successfully close business opportunities and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Technical Support.
  • Ensure timely execution and delivery of customer requirements.
  • Coordinate project updates and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints effectively.
  • Provide timely solutions to maintain customer confidence and satisfaction.
  • Support post-sales activities and relationship enhancement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and account performance reviews.
  • Monitor key account metrics and provide market intelligence to management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline), Business Administration, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Sales & Business Development.
  • Experience in Steel, Industrial Products, Engineering Solutions, Oil & Gas, LNG, or Energy sectors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international sales and export business practices.
  • Knowledge of steel products and applications is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge and capabilities across Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, Tendering & Contract Negotiation, Customer Relationship Management, and Market Analysis.
