Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Sales Engineer with 7–8 years of demonstrated success in the sale of switchgear and panel board systems, preferably within the UAE and broader Gulf region.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, promoting LV switchgear and power distribution solutions, and converting qualified opportunities into profitable orders. The role combines strong technical understanding with disciplined account development and commercial execution.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.E. or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and demonstrate strong technical acumen combined with disciplined follow-up capabilities. The role requires a strong focus on achieving commercial closure and maximizing contract acquisition through consultative client engagement and solution-driven sales execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across the UAE and selected regional markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, electrical contractors, utilities, OEMs, package builders, developers, and industrial end users.
  • Promote solutions including MDBs, SMDBs, MCCs, DBs, ATS panels, generator control and synchronizing panels, VFD/soft-starter panels, power factor correction panels, PLC/control panels, feeder pillars, electrical enclosures, and custom-engineered assemblies.
  • Develop strategic accounts through regular customer visits, technical presentations, vendor registrations, and opportunity follow-up.
  • Coordinate with Estimation, Engineering, Production, and Project teams to prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.
  • Review specifications, drawings, BOQs, and tender requirements to identify suitable solutions and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial and technical matters with customers and support order closure while protecting margins and contractual positions.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, account plans, opportunity stages, next actions, and forecasts using the company CRM/SAMR process.
  • Achieve agreed order-intake, revenue, margin, new-account, and market-development targets.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market developments, and project pipelines, and provide structured commercial intelligence to management.
  • Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings, technical workshops, exhibitions, and industry networking events.

Job Requirements:

  • B.E. or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7–8 years of demonstrated sales experience in switchgear and panel board systems, preferably within the UAE and broader Gulf region.
  • Strong technical understanding of LV switchgear, protection devices, distribution systems, and electrical project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the UAE contractor, consultant, EPC, and end-user market is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and communicate effectively with engineering and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-management, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong technical acumen with disciplined follow-up capabilities.
  • Strong focus on achieving commercial closure and maximizing contract acquisition through consultative client engagement and solution-driven sales execution.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a growth-focused environment.
  • Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel across the UAE is required.
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Experience with LV switchgear and electrical distribution products from leading manufacturers such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, ABB, Eaton, Legrand, LS Electric, or equivalent will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to utilities, oil & gas, infrastructure, industrial projects, OEM/package builders, or consultant-driven specifications is desirable.
