Job Brief:

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to develop sales and business opportunities for wear-resistant products, fabricated wear parts, and engineered industrial solutions across the UAE.

The role involves identifying new customers and applications, understanding wear-related problems and equipment requirements, recommending appropriate materials and engineered solutions, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and coordinating with engineering and production teams to deliver customer-specific solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales and business opportunities for wear-resistant products, fabricated wear parts, and engineered industrial solutions across the UAE.
  • Identify and develop new customers across quarrying, cement, recycling, construction, mining, material processing, and other heavy industrial sectors.
  • Conduct regular customer and site visits to understand wear-related problems, equipment applications, and replacement requirements.
  • Identify new applications, customer segments, and opportunities to upgrade existing materials and components.
  • Recommend appropriate wear-resistant materials and engineered solutions based on customer operating conditions and applications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements to develop suitable technical and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for fabricated and machined wear parts.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams on customer-specific requirements involving cutting, machining, forming, welding, and fabrication.
  • Develop relationships with plant managers, maintenance teams, engineers, procurement teams, and other technical decision-makers.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training related to wear solutions and material applications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve component service life and reduce equipment downtime through appropriate material and design solutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of enquiries, quotations, customer visits, and ongoing projects.
  • Follow up commercial proposals and technical enquiries through negotiation and order closure.
  • Maintain regular sales activity reports, customer visit reports, and opportunity forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, estimating, and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements are delivered accurately.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Approximately 4–5 years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in wear solutions, wear-resistant products, steel products, metal fabrication, or aftermarket industrial products is strongly preferred.
  • Experience within an end-user industry such as quarrying, cement, mining, recycling, or heavy industrial processing will be highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience in technical sales and estimating within a subcontract manufacturing or fabrication environment is preferred.
  • Good understanding of fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong numerical ability with experience preparing quotations, estimates, and reports.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to discuss technical requirements with customers and internal engineering teams.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable independently developing new customers.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
  • Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
  • The position requires regular customer and site visits.
