Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with strong expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

With 8 - 10 years of experience in accounting or a related field, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. This position is essential to the organization’s continued growth and success, offering the opportunity to lead key initiatives and contribute significantly to financial strategy and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial records.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting and provide detailed analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and performance-driven work environment.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring smooth audit execution.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including the timely and accurate filing of VAT and corporate tax returns, while ensuring adherence to UAE tax regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, provide insights, support strategic decision-making, and forecast financial outcomes.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and internal control mechanisms to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification (such as CPA or ACCA) is preferred.
Experience:
  • 8-10 years of proven experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong and practical knowledge of IFRS standards is essential.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of UAE corporate tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT compliance requirements.
