Job Brief:

The Senior Fire and Life Safety Design & Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical proposals, and engineering designs for Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and Clean Agent Gas Suppression Systems for DEWA, TAQA, industrial, utility, power, oil & gas, infrastructure, and commercial projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, UAE Civil Defense requirements, DEWA/TAQA standards, NFPA codes, and international engineering practices while supporting successful tender submissions and project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and material take-offs (MTO).
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and manufacturers.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, clarifications, and bid documentation.
Design Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and Gas Suppression Systems in accordance with DEWA, TAQA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, and project specifications.
Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal disciplines to ensure technically compliant and cost-effective solutions.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or code compliance.
Provide technical support during tender evaluation, procurement, and project handover.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Fire & Life Safety System Design and Estimation.
Proven experience in DEWA, TAQA, industrial, utility, power, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and Clean Agent Gas Suppression Systems.
Excellent understanding of UAE Civil Defense, DEWA, TAQA, NFPA, IEC, and applicable international standards.
